TWO DAY TOURS
Tutuala and Jaco
On our way to the far Eastern tip of the Island we will pass through the beautiful market town of Baucau, Timor-Leste’s second largest city. The road through to the district of Lautém will provide you with ample opportunities for photography. As we drive we will pass superb coastal scenery, through villages, abandoned Portuguese ruins, rice paddies and forests. The district of Lautém offers ancestor tombs, rock art and perhaps some of the finest snorkeling you will ever experience. Jaco is quite simply tropical island paradise – Enjoy!
Ramelau
Climb the highest peak on the island of Timor. Our trip will show you the beauty of Timor-Leste’s mountain ranges. Passing through Aileu and Maubisse on the way through to Hato Builico, you will begin your ascent in the early morning to arrive as the sun is rising over the ocean. On most days it is possible to see both coastlines and the walk itself will take you through stunningly beautiful deserted forests.
ONE DAY TOURS
Maliana – Ermera – Dili
This trip shows a visitor the entire stretch of the Western coastline all the way to the border. From here we head South to Maliana and beyond where we will turn back towards Dili passing directly over the mountain range in the center of the island. This is one of the most intense tours a visitor can take simply because of the diversity of Timor-Leste it shows. As we pass through five districts you will have the opportunity to see the type of variety both in terms of the island and its inhabitants.
CUSTOM TREKKING
For those who wish really get off the beaten patch we can offer up to three days hiking anywhere in the island complete with camping facilities, guides and perhaps even a pack horse! We specialize in the coffee growing regions of Ermera and around the peaks of Ramelau but are happy to discuss other options with you.
